The Department of Posts (India Post) has released the GDS Online Engagement Notification – January 2026. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website within the prescribed dates.

🧾 User Registration

  • Start Date: 31 January 2026

  • End Date: 14 February 2026

📝 Application Submission

  • Start Date: 02 February 2026

  • End Date: 16 February 2026 (up to 5:00 PM)

  • End Date: 19 February 2026

📝 Online Application Process

Candidates must log in using their Registration Number and Password received via SMS. Applications can be submitted only during the dates mentioned in the notification.

🔹 Steps to Apply Online

  1. Visit the official GDS website

  2. Click “Apply Online” under Active Notification → GDS Schedule-I

  3. Complete the application through the following stages:

    • Personal Details

    • Educational Details (10th Class / SSE)

    • Division Selection & Post Preference

    • Upload Photograph & Signature

    • Preview Application

    • Fee Payment (if applicable)

🎓 Educational Details Required

  • 10th Class (SSE) Board Name

  • Year of Passing

  • Marks Obtained

  • Postal Circle where 10th class was completed

🏤 Division & Post Selection

  • Candidate can apply for only ONE Division

  • Multiple posts can be selected within the same division

  • Preference must be given for each post

  • If selected for more than one post, only the highest preferred post will be allotted

💰 Application Fee

  • Fee Amount: ₹100/-

📸 Photograph & Signature Guidelines

✅ Photograph

  • Format: JPG / JPEG

  • Size: 30 KB – 100 KB

  • Dimensions: 320 × 400 pixels

  • Background: White or light-colored

  • Face coverage: 70–80%

  • Selfies or scanned photos are not allowed

✅ Signature

  • Format: JPG / JPEG

  • Size: 20 KB – 100 KB

  • Dimensions: 300 × 120 pixels

  • Black/Blue pen on white paper

  • Typed or digital signatures are not allowed

⚠️ Blurred photo or signature will lead to application rejection

✏️ Application Correction Window

  • A 2-day edit window will be available after the closing date

  • Once resubmitted, no further corrections are allowed

  • Paid fee will not be refunded

🌐 Local Language Requirement

Candidates must have studied the local language of the postal circle in 10th class.
